Fritzlar

Fritzlar war eine Exklave des Kurfürstentums Mainz in Nordhessen.
Aus diesem Grund ist die Stadt auch heute noch eher katholisch geprägt.
Neben der Stiftskirche St. Peter aus dem 12. Jahrhundert hat die Stadt noch
verschiedene andere Kirchen, ein Rathaus aus dem Jahr 1109, eine Stadtmauer
sowie zahlreiche Fachwerkhäuser.
Fritzlar liegt direkt am sehr schönen Eder-Radweg und ist bei einer Radtour

Sights in Germany - Fritzlar was an exclave of the Electorate of Mainz in
Northern Hesse. Therefore the town is still mainly catholic. Besides
St. Peter's church built in the 12th century the town has other interesting
churches, a townhall from 1109, a town wall and numerous timber framed houses.
Fritzlar is situated close right at the Eder cycling route and is definitely
