Worms,
die ehemalige Bischofsstadt hat einen
Dom
aus dem 12. Jahrhundert
sowie zahlreiche andere Kirchen. Bei den
Luftangriffen im 2. Weltkrieg wurde
die Innenstadt nahezu völig
zerstört, weshalb es profane Baudenkmäler nicht
mehr gibt. Auch der Dom
erlitt erhebliche Schäden, doch wurde die
Innenausstattung nicht
zerstört.

diocesan town see and has therefore a
cathedral built in
the 12th century and several other churches. During air raids
in World
War II the city of Worms was almost completely destroyed and
therefore
historic profane buildings no longer exist. The
cathedral also
suffered
major damages but the interior was saved. |
