Karlsruhe wurde im Jahre 1715 mit der Grundsteinlegung des Schlosses
gegründet, worin sich heute das Badische Landesmuseum befindet.
Auf das Schloss laufen die Straßen der Stadt sternförmig zu.
Aus der Zeit des Klassizismus stammen viele der weiteren Gebäude,
wie die evangelische Stadtkirche, St. Stephan und das Rathaus.
Das ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie) hat sich einen
Namen im Bereich der Medienkunst gemacht.

Sights in Germany - Karlsruhe was founded when the foundation stone
for the castle was laid in 1715. Today the castle hosts the Badisches
Landesmuseum. The streets in town lead radially towards the castle.
Many buildings are from the classicist period, like the Protestant city church,
St. Stephan and the town hall. The Center for Art and Media (ZKM)
is another tourist attraction.
